2026 SS200 Run Schedule

Running without a crew:

The shuttle will leave Cheaha State Park Tuesday at noon to take runners to the Fairfield Inn in Dalton. We will have a designated area for you to park at Cheaha State Park. You will need to reserve a seat on the shuttle and a hotel room in Dalton for Tuesday Night. Wednesday morning we will shuttle you to the start at “Need Too Feed” in Mill Creek. The shuttle fee will be $50.00. This covers the shuttle from Cheaha State Park to Dalton, GA on Tuesday and from the Fairfield Inn to the race start location on Wednesday morning. There is NO transportation back to the start in Georgia. Of course, you could run the Southern States 400 I suppose! Oh, Tuesday night, we will offer a shuttle to eat dinner at a nearby restaurant, probably, Olive Garden. We will leave about 5:30 PM. There are also several restaurants within easy walk of the Fairfield Inn.

Runners with a Crew:

We will have a designated Host Hotel in Dalton, Georgia, about 4 miles from the race start at “Need Too Feed in Mill Creek. There are 13 major hotels on College Drive where the host hotel will be located. We will have a preliminary packet pickup at the Fairfield Inn Tuesday afternoon. Tuesday runner check-in may be required, depending on the number of runners entered. We, of course recommend you stay at the Fairfield Inn. We have a reduced rate for runners. Follow the link below.

Your crew may take you to the race start Wednesday morning. Parking is limited near the start and you may have to park away from the start and walk to Need Too Feed. We will have more details as we get closer.

Runners that will not have a crew at the race start: You must ride the shuttle to the start.

Tuesday, March 17th, 12 Noon (Central Time) -  The shuttle will leave from Cheaha State Park to take runners to the host hotel on College Drive in Dalton, Georgia. This is a two and a half hour drive, and you lose an hour changing time zones. Shuttle reservations must be made on Ultrasignup in advance.
Tuesday, March 17th, 3:30 PM (Eastern Time) - The shuttle arrives in Dalton at the host hotel.
Tuesday, March 17th, 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM - Runner Check-in at the host hotel.

Tuesday, March 17th, 5:30 - Shuttle runners to restaurant for dinner.
Wednesday, March 18th, 10:00 to 11:00 AM - Runners who rode the shuttle from Cheaha State Park will be taken to the start.
Wednesday, March 18th, 10:00 to 11:30 AM - Packet Pickup, pick up SPOT Trackers and final check in.
Runners who have a crew that will bring them to the start: (all times eastern)
Tuesday, March 17th, 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM - Runner check-in at the host hotel.

Tuesday Night March 17th - You may choose to stay at the host hotel or other hotels or lodging in the Dalton area.
Wednesday, March 18th, 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM - Packet Pickup, pick up SPOT Trackers and final check in.

Wednesday, March 18th, 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM - Leave dropbags in designated areas.
Wednesday, March 18th, 11:30 AM - Pre-race briefing in the Mill Creek Meeting Center.
Wednesday, March 18th, 12:00 AM - Start of the Southern States 200 Run.

SOUTHERN STATES 100
The shuttle is for 100 mile runners that will not have a crew at the race start.
Friday, March 20th 7:30 AM (Central Time) - The shuttle will leave Cheaha State Park to take runners to the Cave Spring Start. Shuttle reservations must be made on Ultrasignup in advance.
Friday, March 20th, 10:15 AM (Eastern Time) - The shuttle will arrive at Rolater Park in Cave Spring, GA.
Friday, March 20th, 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM (Eastern Time) - Runner Check-in at race start.

Friday, March 20th, 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM – Leave dropbags in designated areas.
Friday, March 20th, 11:30 AM - Race briefing at the SS200 Aid Station Pavilion.
Friday, March 20th, 12:00 PM - Start of the Southern States 100.

SOUTHERN STATES 200 & 100

Sunday, March 22 , 4:00 PM – Final cutoff of the Southern States races.
